Additionally, I recommend stopping at Vilano 180 for some delicious pizza. Check out the pizza Derek and I ordered recently…the “All the Way” pizza (minus olives).

If you’re visiting during November through January, you’re in for an extra treat: Nights of Lights boat tours often depart from the Vilano Pier. These evening cruises give you front-row seats to one of the most magical holiday light displays in the country — millions of tiny white lights illuminating the historic St. Augustine waterfront. Bring your own snacks and drinks (yes, even the adult beverages), and enjoy the sparkle of the season from the water. Last year, Derek and I took our friends who were visiting from the UK on one of these tours (with a bottle of wine in tow, of course) – and it was truly magical. They offered both 7pm and 9pm departures – I didn’t book far enough in advance and so we were on the 9pm boat. Next time, I’ll book farther in advance so we can enjoy it a bit earlier in the evening. Regardless of what departure time you choose, the views from the water are absolutely magical.
