Festival of Chariots
The Festival of the Chariots, also known as Ratha Yatra, is a vibrant Hindu celebration bringing joy and cultural richness to historic St. Augustine. The event begins with a grand chariot procession through downtown, starting at 9:30 a.m. and concluding at 11 a.m. at the Plaza de la Constitución. Festivities continue with a free vegetarian feast and cultural performances from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. At 1 p.m., the celebration moves to St. George Street for a mantra music singing party until 3 p.m. The festival features live music, traditional Indian dance, and mantra meditation. 170 St. George St., St. Augustine. www.festivalofchariots.org
